Week Recap

So it's been a while since I've updated this thing, so now I'll recap the past week.

Monday was pretty fun. I had a meeting with UITS, the university technology people, for USG and we had a good talk. They gave us some really good information about all the new changes they are making, and it definitely seems that they are really here for the betterment of student life when it comes to technology usage. After our meeting they gave us a tour of the facility. We got to see the high definition display wall as well as some 3D things. They let us use the virtual reality thing too. That was a lot of fun. We even got to see the servers that the univserity uses. The second part of the day wasn't so great. Started up my second summer session and with that is Physics 202. My professor isn't that great and I don't think he really wants to be teaching so it will definitely be an interesting class. The lab portion isn't bad though, our TA is pretty funny.

Tuesday I just had class. Then afterwards, I drove home for the night because I had an eye appointment the next morning. Got to spend some time with my parents though. Dad made steaks and mom had made sun tea, so all in all it was a great meal. After dinner we ended up going to the movie theater and seeing "The Hangover." It was probably one of the funniest movies I have seen in a while.

Wednesday I had my eye appointment. Eyes got worse! Yeah! Beyond that nothing exciting there...came back to Indy and had class again. That night we had a USG Executive Meeting. Feel like that went pretty well. We picked what committees we would be working with and I'm happy to say, that I got Constitutional Revisions :D. We got part way through our action items thinking, but didn't und up finishing it so not sure what all we are focusing on yet.

Thursday was nice, because it was the beginning of a long weekend since the campus was closed the 3rd to observe the 4th. When I got back to the house I decided to head to Target and pick up some new movies. Ended up watching all three in a row pretty much, but was really relaxing.

Friday I woke up and then hung out with Kelsey. We went to her new apartment and unloaded some stuff she had in her car. Then we walked across the street and tried the restaurant Zing. It was really good. After that we started driving up to Lake Freeman to hang out for the day. We rode around on the wave runner for a long time which was awesome. Haven't really been on those a lot, but they are a ton of fun. Kelsey tried to throw me off a few times, but I stayed on. Later that night we took the boat out and watched the fireworks while sitting on the lake. That was a lot of fun. Then Kelsey's parents came and made some food and just hung out for the rest of the night.

Woke up on the 4th to an awesome breakfast made by Kelsey's mom. Then we went down to the boat dock and watched the "Boat Parade." After that played some cards with the neighbors and then Kelsey and I drove back down to Indy. Well she drove...and I slept. Got back to the house and then hung out here for a bit for Ryan's birthday. Then we went over to Cora's apartment since she is leaving for Africa to make sure we could say goodbye to her. Was a lot of fun to go there. Got to see some of my friends that I haven't seen in a while. Then we came back to the house to finish out the festivities of the 4th and for Ryan's 22nd birthday. All in all defnitely a good night!
